Hi, I just registered and the truth is that I have very little idea of the second world war other than having seen films, documentaries and internet searches.... but I like to learn things. Books I have read on the subject are "The Amnesiacs" and the first of the Archipelago Gulag trilogy. I also read a book about Hannah Arendt. Anyway, WWII has always been present in my life for one thing or another. Back in the day a PC game I liked a lot was Commandos (1 and 2, especially 2), thanks to which I learned who Montgomery and Rommel were, as well as what El Alamein was (the first game has some informative videos). I hope to learn here and enjoy it. Best regards
Welcome Goe, I hope you find a lot of new information here on this site. Please don’t be afraid to ask questions, and we’ll give you or point you to information you can read to learn more. Cheers
G'day Goe, Welcome to the forum. I am sure you will find much to spark your interest, and enhance your knowledge. Ask as many questions as you wish, don't worry about making mistakes, I have made many, and have learned from them. Enjoy.
Thanks, Temujin and BFBSM!! I feel really supported by both of you, and I need it since when I hava asked about Eichmann, someone has replied "Are you an anti semite? Don't try silly jokes". I feel that really unfair. Best regards.
