Noticing that you're interested in the secret squirrel side of things, do you have any access to the nominal roll for the Polish Troop of 10 (IA) Commando? Any references to members parachuting into Germany late in the war?
Incidentally, next door neighbour, is the spouse of one of the first 35 british paras who made the Tragino Aqueduct raid. (Just showing off now!)

If you are in the Telford area I know who you mean. Some years ago he told me the tale of the Italians were so frightened of them that they were shackled together; some 39 Pars. When one wanted the toilet on a train they were all forced to go, equally when they climbed onto a bus; the first guy walked through the read door! He was later involved in the OC's escape from an Italian POW Camp. The guy later saw action in the Ardennes whence he was wounded by a mortar shell.

 

I'm over near Halifax, the lady is Derry Fletchers' spouse. She loaned me 'The Guinea Pigs' by Raymond Foxhall which is fascinating. There is, however, an ATB issue which goes into greater detail regarding the identity of the SOE agent who accompanied them, can't remember the number, think it's 81. Can find it if you're interested!
