    Here are my current projects
A Senegalese infantryman (very very difficult to find because there was only 40.000 of these soldiers in metropolitan France in 1940.
Many of them were massacred by the Nazi army.
Nazis considered these soldiers as being a member of a lower race...(untermenschen) and they did not hesitate to align them on the ground, to make them give up by tanks

A French captain (Free France colonial artillery) the jacket comes from a tailor of London!

He was the cousin of the captain of colonial artillery !!!. He joined the Resistance Maquis Aigoual-Cévennes. Note the badge of the 22nd BCA and the ''tart'' with caduceus

A very rare N°2 commando in Indochina. These commando squads used the ''vietminh'' s methods and it is this war kind which it would have been necessary to lead.
We would have avoided many deaths French, then Americans

Excellent stuff. Its things like this that have managed to get me more than a desire to acquire some early-war French gear.

    Top show.

If you are speaking about Nbr 2 commado uniform, it’ rather impossible to find one, even in France. This is veryr very very rare.
As I wrote, with this kind of war, French army (with a little help…) would have been able to win the Indochina war or at least to stabilize the situation to negotiate.
Here are interesting links about these Commados Nord Vietnam

The trousers of the No 2 Commando uniform seem to be British Windproof issue - the smock of which was used by the SAS into the late 1970s - the French also used these smocks extensively in Vietnam

These trousers are 1942 Windproof pattern.
A lot of famous pics of General Bigeard (that pic shows him in show him during Diên Biên Phu battle. Here was ''lieutenant colonel'')
    wearing this kind of trousers.
In Indochina (not yet Vietnam...) than in Alegria, soldiers called windproof 42 smock or trousers ''peau de saucisson'' peau de sauc') literally called sausage skin because of this camouflage colors.
Of course, only black shirt, hats and medals are rare and not these trousers.
I'm looking for a pair of 50'sneaker to complete this uniform

The 42 Pattern seems to have been one of the most enduring pieces of WWII kit apart from boots and webbing!
I wore it in Rhodesia in the late 1970s
