Can anyone with access to Ancestry please look up the Medal index cards please for a George Osborne, [?2Bn] Coldstream Guards?

Fraid I have no other info to cross reference other than the fact that he apparently was awarded a MM.

According to his headstone inscription, he was killed during an air raid whilst serving in Home Guard during WW2.

GEORGE OSBORNE M.M. Civilian War Dead who died age 56 on 11 May 1941
Sjt., Home Guard.
Husband of M. M. Osborne, of 32 Alexandra Court, Queen's Gate. Died at Elvaston Place.

Remembered with honour KENSINGTON, METROPOLITAN BOROUGH

    Much appreciated,

Can anyone decipher what is said on reverse - esp what the date means at the end of the sentence?

here's the other one you wanted, nothing on the reverse.

For the deciphering of the previous, take it to GWF, they'll read that in two ticks. Looks to be 'OC Coldstream Guards. nom roll of ........ d 1/2/21'

    Last question, I hope.

Can anyone give me a reason why I shouldn't be confused - both of these men are Sgt George Osborne, both served with CG, both received MM.

Is there any way of telling for certain which one is the man described in the above cwgc entry?

    Cheers,
    D
