    Hello,
I am researching in to my g grandfather military career. I know he served in the TA before WW1 and in WW1 but not in combat until1916-18.
I have come across a photo in a West Riding uniform WW2 probably Home Defence(guard)
I would like if anyone can identify the medals, Its the best copy of the photo i have.
I think L-R British War Medal, Victory medal, then either the The Territorial War Medal or WW2 Defence Medal??
It would be nice to know which. If anyone has other photos to compare.
    Thanks

Yes have got his WW1 records they say he only got War Medal & Victory medal. As i say don't know if this is him in the photo would like to see if the medal ribbons match his records..
As to the WW2 records they take so long to get.

BWM, Victory Medal, and given his pre-war Territorial service, the Territorial Force Efficiency Medal, but possibly its successor, the Territorial Efficiency Medal instituted in 1921 – war service counted double, so it would all depend upon when he joined the Territorial Force before the war.

N.B. the TFEM ribbon changed to that adopted for the TEM in 1919.

    e.g. Pair & TFEM to 305764 C SJT L T Mills 8/R War R

Thanks for your help. I did not know that medal existed. That would fit in with his records. I have him in the Territorial until 1926.

On a separate note I got his ww1 army records from the M.O.D. From 1913 up to 1926
If he had anything in ww2 would they have been included??
