Help with uncle's RAF personnel records, please.

  1. Hello, I need help with my late uncle's RAF records from WWII.
    The jargon, military terms and locations are confusing.
    Would some one be able to decipher it for me please?

    At this point it appears that he has been overseas. Probably Ceylon (now Sri Lanka).

    Having looked at your Uncle's documents, I can see that he served on 85 Sqn at RAF Swannington, which was part of RAF 100 (Bomber Support) Group. If you would like to contact me on: m.hillier091@hotmail.com I can pass on information to you about RAF Swannington and about the 100 Group in which your uncle served. Hopefully this will enable you to find out more about your Uncle and his RAF service at Swannington.
