Hi Could anyone shed any light on what the date on the attached might signify, and what the text, looks like MTTB, might mean? Thanks Steve
Best guess MTTB = Motor (or Mechanical) Transport Training Battalion. Date being date of attachment or being sent on course. CMP (P) = Corps of Military Police (Prisoner) Tim
5725927 Pte. E. J. Butler Dorsetshire Regiment Enlisted late 1930 5725927 Spr. E. J. Butler Royal Engineers Enlisted 10.12.1937 My best guess is that 15.06.1941 is his transfer to 3 M.T.D. B. 25/32 Swindon T.T. Group Next entry states: Draft serial R.G.G.H.W. 15.08.1941 (80/3 M.T. Trg. Depot) Suggest M.T.T.B. should read M.T.T.D. or Motor Transport Training Depot.
I hadn't realised there was more than one page on FMP, cheers David. I'll have to check my other RE ones now. ( I have their medals)
