I'm still amazed that Arthur says that isn't him in the Barletta picture! I'm sure I got the list of names for that one from Robert Shaw and he got them from Neville Ashley I think? If it's definitely not Arthur then I'd better get on to Paradata as they have it on their site as well..........
    All the best mate....

I send this picture to the Arnhem archive with a part of the story of Joseph. Later it was updated with many more details.
This picture was a original Picture which I got from Jospeh "Paddy" Gray somewhere in the early '90's. He send it to me. He couldn't remember who the other persons are. Somewhere I have a scan of the backside. (I can't find it on the moment)On the backside was something written and I believe it was mentioned the places where the other soldiers where living on that moment. I will look where the scan is. But maybe the new owner of the picture is also on the forum and can tell what is written on it. For sure, it says that the picture is taken on the island of cos.
This photograph and some letters are now in my collection, I had contacted Ramon a few years ago now.
Photograph will be listed in my book on the 11th Bt with the info written on the back.

    Regards,
    Dre

Another reason to look forward to this pending book on the 11th;) I now have the book I mentioned earlier in ref to the picture and while another Para is mentioned in the book I am none the wiser as to the identity of the rest of the group.

I have no doubt there is mate!
I know for a fact that 'face recognition technology' is widely employed by various agencies in the UK. From my limited knowledge of how the software works I'm sure it could be used to compare young and old faces! All we have to do now is buy the software and we're away!!

Paul, regarding the first photo with the Padre. I have been thinking about this for a while. You mention the photo being post June 44. Would this be a qualifying photo or just a general snapshot? I am trying to get an idea of narrowing down who it is. Did they have to do re-qualifying jumps? I suspect that the Padres would be pretty busy, being a bit thin on the ground so to speak, so wouldn't be doing this just for 'fun', as it were. Does this logic make it more likely that it is one of the later replacement chaplains? I only have 31 names on my list which doesn't include any who were attached but failed to qualify. Are there any such chaplains I wonder? Also, he looks older, so easy to discount one or two there. I'll keep thinking!
    Regards
    Matt
