    Hi all,
I stumbled across a few pictures on t'internet today and wondered if anybody out there recognises the faces. The pictures are from after June 1944 as that is when the Instructor, A J McDonald, joined the staff at Ringway.
I have put one name on already and a couple of the other faces are very familiar but I can't quite place them. All the paras are officers (according to the note with the picture). There are a couple more pictures in the set but I'll just post the Officer one for now and see how we get on! :)
    Thanks in anticipation!!........

Paul, I would have thought the Padre would be ID' able? Bottom Right looks like Int Corps if that helps. I can't decide if Top Right is RE, RA or RCS.

    Hello mate,
The bloke bottom right is definitely familiar, I'm sure I've seen him somewhere before but I can't remember where. Also the one on the extreme left at the rear looks similar to Jack Grayburn or David Wallis (both 2 Para at Arnhem) but I doubt if he is either of those two as I'm sure the picture would be more well known:unsure:.
I agree that the Padre should be a bit easier and I'm just waiting for the answers to come flooding in any minute.............
Thanks for the tips re the cap badges mate, I'll have to have a root around ;).
    All the best.........

Have to agree with Andy, on bottom right being Intel Corps had a quick look in Worst fears Confirmed, but no joy so far seems to be a problem working out if bottom left is R.E or R.A:unsure:......... also think third in front left is RASC, could be a Sigs guy and not sure on the other two........ back left cant quiet get a good look at badge looks to small to be any that are mentioned already but angle is a bit off could be another Intel Corps:unsure: but I dare say some names will come forth soon..............Paul your making is work this week eh mate:D

I guess they could be 6th Airborne Jason, but the instructor didn't start at Ringway until June 1944 and as we all know the 6th were a bit busy around then! Of course, that's not to say that the guys going through their courses didn't join the 6th after D-Day as replacements etc. so you could be on to something.........

    Hello AM,

I don't think it's Kavanagh. Have a look at the composite I've made and see what you think.

    Jason,

I think you may well be right with regard to De Burgh (bottom left) and the Padre may be right too although I'm not as convinced as I am with De Burgh!

Great work fellas, keep it up!! :D

I know the cap badge on the larger picture doesn't look like an Ox & Bucks (Grayburn's original regiment) and the pics are not the best quality but what do you think of this???

IGNORE THE GIBBERISH ABOVE!! I've just realised that Grayburn jioned the Paras in early 1943!! DOH!

Sorry Paul I don't have all my photographs at hand, as I am sure I have seen the RA officer on the left, but can't recall his name, when I get them I will check them for sure

OK fellas, as if you're not busy enough already, try these two as well!!
Pic 2 has already had some names written on it at some point but the writing is a bit difficult to decipher.
Again, the pics are from June 1944 onwards (no exact dates I'm afraid) and were taken at Ringway.
    Good luck! :D..
