Help with my Great Grandad's RAF record

Hello everyone. I recently received my great grandad's RAF record from a FOI request I filed with the NA. Basically, I was wondering if anyone wanted to check my work. I'm new to military record research.
My other question is, does anyone have a confirmed meaning of R.T.O and the duties it would entail? I've encountered a couple definitions (e.g. Rail Traffic Officer, Radio Telephone Operator, Regional Technical Officer) I'm leaning towards Radio Telephone Operator because of how it's listed the first time (R/T. Op). I've also circled a few things that I can't find meanings of. R - XAA000994020 HAMER - with Notes_Page_2.png

Final question. So, he died 2 years into his service. The family lore has always been that a plane crashed into him (while writing a letter to granny no doubt). Sounds like a tall tale, I know. I've always been prepared that this wasn't true. His RAF record has no indication of being involved in a crash. No aircraft number or details. In addition his obituary says he “met with a fatal accident at speke, near liverpool” No aircraft mentioned (also location lines up with him being at M.S.F.U.). Based on all of this, what sort of accident should I be looking for? I checked the Liverpool Echo from around that date and couldn’t find anything.

I’ve requested a search of one the M.S.F.U. files from the NA, so hopefully there’s something in there.

I just looked that the original thread. Any chance you know how they could have gotten this information? It doesn't really say where the information came from.

Also, thank you for answering my questions on his record. I appreciate it.
One more question, please. What is this X over "K.R." and what is "Allotted by A.M. in C.C.L NO."

Jon will have probably obtained the detail by getting a copy of his death certificate. No digital image available from GRO so needs to be ordered as PDF or Certificate.

KR is Kings Regulations & Air Council Instructions - He was discharged as reason of Died of Injuries Received on Active Service - this was the specific phrase used in the Air Ministry Casualty List.

So, the plane that killed him actually was part of the Royal Navy.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to look at the ORDs for sqn 776 in the Royal Navy? I couldn't find anything on the national archive.

the wiki article said this type of plane was also used as a personal aircraft of Commander-in-chief @ Speke. wow.

    Thanks Dave!
I have this luckily, but its very thoughtful to post! :) I have 3 census with him on it as well. One from when he was 17 and worked in a Bleachworks factory in Holcombe Brook in Ramsbottom. He had such a short life and in a rural place. It's really tough to find specific info on him. Unfortunatly anyone I'm aware of that knew him have passed away.

I really hope the National Archive gets back to me about the MSFU file search.
