Hoping somebody might have some data?

A lady in our tour group in Germany tonight has been telling me about her Dad. He dropped at Arnhem with C Company of 2/Para having originally been with the Black Watch. She knows little else of his service and I thought it would be nice to surprise her at breakfast with anything you might have?

Her dads name was Tom Galey.

    Can anyone help?

Nothing from a POW perspective, not listed in any camps or in the E&E lists.

There is a Pte Galey who was a member of 2nd Parachute Battalion who was on a very early parachute course at Ringway in January 1942. Unfortunately service numbers were not recorded on the early courses and neither were initials so there is no way of knowing if this is the man in question but given the fairly unusual name it is certainly possible.

Hope this is of some help.

    Cheers
