I've been going through a card index [NA Kew, WO379 series] compiled by the WO between 1914 and about 1950 which gives the recorded moves of battalions, and the authority for them. The trouble is I don't understand some of the acronyms, Can any one please interpret? I suspect that many of the entries are historical and the references were evidence of the record. G51 followed by a date- I presume this is a form number. 80/3 followed by a date- another form? A6137 Amendment 77- this example and numerous others is presumed a 'return' of some sort. CDMO 695- and numerous variations on the number. DMQ List- numbered SRIA- ? SRIB- ? Many thanks, Stephen.
