hello everyone, i,m new to this site. anyway i would like to create a portfolio of my grandads time in ww2 so i can show my son when he,s old enough to understand. My grandad ( tom brown) was in the queens lancashire regiment 42lr, and took part in north africa & italy, recieving the french medal ( croux de gare) you might want to check my spelling there. A rare achievement for an englishman! This is about as much as i know, i dont want his efforts to be forgotten, so if anyone out there can help me with web addresses or any other info i would be most grateful.
Welcome to the Forum! Where regiments do not maintain a website, the best bet is to try: http://www.missing-you.net/index.php They have many postings asking for someone serving in whatever. It would be worth trying. Good luck with your search. Cheers, Gerry
