    Hi All,

Just found some old coins that I am assuming my Granddad bought back from North Africa (based on the Arabic writing). I have done a quick search of the Internet but not found anything useful to help me identify them.

Does anyone here have any clues? My Granddad was stationed for definite in Egypt and Sudan, and also possibly in Libya.

    Thanks in advance.

EDIT:I also recall that he visited Palestine while he was out there too.

Okay it was easier than I thought to translate the Arabic dates. I should have tried that first.

The first one is 1 Egyptian millieme 1938 and the dude in the fez is King Farouk I
The second one is 1 Iraqi Fils 1936 King Gazi I

Still not a clue about the one on the right though

Ron, thanks so much. I had just come to the conclusion that the writing was Hebrew, but was making a meal out of attempting a translation.
