    Hi there,
I’m struggling to work out when this soldier was in each unit
From 10 September 1939 the soldier was in Base MTS Depot
On 20 June 1940 moved to 4 DTC?
But then on 2 September 1940 he is back in 1 Base MTSD, and then straight away posted to 3 MTSD for quite a while
So I’m just struggling to work out from June-September 1940 was the soldier in 4 DTC or in 1 BMTSD?
If anyone can let me know what they think that would be lovely
    Catherine

Wasn’t he posted to 3 MTSD on 2/8/1940 though?

My mistake with the date, changed to 2/9/40 and destination. Apologies.. I can see the main, dark pen has overwritten something with: 1 Base NR 5/8/40'. My understanding - only from here - is mistakes were made by clerks and then corrected.

So when do you think he was in 1 Base MTSD?

Yes, he could have been I think. However the entry is overwritten in bold pen on the same line / column.

it’s more that it’s written in the row immediately below in bold pen but then posted to 3 MTSD so confused as to where the 1 BMTSD comes in to the left of it

My take is No.1 Base MTDS from 10/9/39 to 2/9/40.

While on strength of No.1 Base MTDS he was attached for a course to 4DTC on 20/6/40 returning 5/8/40. This would not have been a transfer of records posting - more a jurisdiction authority and pay accounting for the duration of the course he was undertaking
