    Hi,

New to the forum and I am looking for some assistance with abbreviations on my grandfathers War service record.

    Ach/B.Op (Also shows as B.OPR and B.OPTR)
    B.Rit F.W (Also shows as BR/FW)
    Ball Opt

In the section that shows movement of units, what unit is this?
    1.B.C

In the reason for movement column, does anyone know what the following mean:
    H
    HH
    C
    X
    D2K

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for the help.

    Hi,

    Various derivatives of Balloon Operator.

I suspect B.Rit is actually B.Rig for Balloon Rigger/Fabric Worker

    1.B.C. is No.1 Balloon Centre

    H is Home Force
    HH is headquarters holding

    Regards
    Ross
