Hi Itekweni and welcome to the forum.
What you have appears to be your Dad's service record (on parchment). I gather the record was usually given to the sailor at end of service. RN might have a copy of the record but I think if they do it is likely to be the same as you already have.
I have a similar document from my Grandfathers service but also have a typewritten version which is much easier to read although the information on the two documents is not exactly the same.
I see your Dad was a bit of a character with a few charges and loss of good conduct stripes etc but cannot understand why there are no medals listed on the first page of the record. I would have expected at least eg Defence and Victory medals.
Perhaps contacting the MoD might help, see link:

Ministry of Defence | Defence For... | Veterans | Medals | Contacting the Medal Office

Good luck and let us know how you get on.

    Mike

Thank you Mike I am going to try the site you gave me and hopefully I will be able to get what i want as the copies I have are a little hard to decipher and a typed version would make for easier reading.. Just a question could you make out my Dad's service number as i do not which one to use.

    thanks in advance

    Hello there,
    His service number is D/JX143928.

Looks like he did a voyage on the ss CITY OF DURBAN as a DEMS gunner. 14 Nov 41 - 9 March 42.

    Regards
    Hugh
