Hello all, Does any one of you recognize these boots... I presume they were used by an aircraft crew member, but it's not clear to me if they are German or English/American. No markings are present on the boots... Jan
Unlike any WWII UK or US flying boot I'm aware of, as sheepskin usually forms the lining. The straps and buckles are also a bit odd as they could create an issue moving in and around a cockpit. I'd suggest civil rather than military.
Looks like an older version of this snow boot: Unty Mens Snow Boots Fur Winter Warm Leather Genuine Sheepskin Outsole Felt TEP | eBay Russian, I believe.
Thanks for the replies... I fully agree that the boots are not used by aircraft crew members... I also think that the mentioned Snow Boots are much more more likely! Jan (Webmaster World War II Allied Aircraft Crashes in The Netherlands and North Sea)
