    Hello folks

I am studying Cultural Heritage Management at The University of Northern Jutland in Denmark.. The study involves a great deal of learning about different periods throughout history. Currently my study group and I are working on a project along with a danish World War 2 related museum. We would like to know more about what might attract foreign tourists to WW2 related museums in Denmark.

I was hoping you would answer a few questions concerning World War 2 museums in Denmark.

When finished simply press the 'indsend besvarelse' button and you're done.

    Thank you in advance.

Done. My reason for visiting Denmark (apart from a city trip to Copenhagen) was to visit as many ww2 museums as possible. Was able to see:

    DENMARK Artillery Museum (Varde) 2010
DENMARK Atlantikwal Museum (Skagen, Grenen) 2010
    DENMARKBesaettelsesmuseets Venner (Aalborg) 2010
DENMARK Concentration camp Froslev (Padborg) 2010
    DENMARKFlymuseum (Stauning) 2010
    DENMARKForsvars- og Garnisonsmuseum (Aalborg) 2010
    DENMARKSofats- og marinemuseum (Aalborg) 2010
DENMARK The Museum of Danish Resistance 1940-1945 (Copenhagen) 2007
    DENMARK UNOMuseum (Padborg) 2010
DENMARK War Museum (Orlogsmuseet) (Copenhagen) 2007
DENMARK Royal Armouries (Tojhusmuseet) (Copenhagen) 2007

Thanks Marco. What's your opinion on the various museums? Any you preferred to others?
Actually I've always wondered about dutch museums. Are they financed by the government? Some of the danish museums are, but others only exist due to private investors.

Below a grading according to me. That is to say I like the old-fashioned museums. I prefer a full-size diorama to a computer screen, but I grade a diorama as high as an unusual specific item that I haven't seen before such as the leather mask used by the Gestapo to hide the face of the torturers (Occupation museum, Denmark). I don't like too many photo's, I can see then in the comfort of my home on the internet. My interest in ww2 started in 1975 with aircraft so I am partial to those. Again, that is just me....

9 DENMARK Artillery Museum (Varde) 2010
