    Hi everyone
On further searching through Grandad's belongings I have come across the attached photograph.
I believe it may well be of the 3rd Battalion, Grenadier Guards and may date from around 1941 (possibly 1940 or 1942). The 3rd Battalion was based at various locations after Dunkirk such as Louth, Lincolnshire and up in the Ayrshire area of Scotland.
Although my Grandfather was at Anzio with the 5th Battalion it appears as though he was with the 3rd Battalion before this. He is 2nd row from the back, 4th from the right.

So... it could be of either the 3rd or 5th (Im edging towards the 3rd) but perhaps someone may recognise any of the faces in the picture/location the photo was taken (well you never know there are some knowledgeable people on this forum and someone may have seen a similar picture!).

    Thanks again for your help
    Gary
