Helmet ID help please

    My 11yr old grandson bought this in Scotland at the weekend.
    Any ID help would be great, looks a bit German ish!

    Adopted before WW2 there are three variations of the M36 helmet, A, B and C. The A has a rolled edge, is made from a heavier gauge of metal, and has a more pronounced crest. The B has no rolled edge, while the C has no rolled edge and a less distinct crest as well as a different method of attaching the liner.
