Thanks very much for your help, I have downloaded the forms.His name was Frederick Cawrey, all I know was that he was a gunner (suffered from shell shock) was definitely in Egypt for a time as he told me that and gave me a photo of himself and a couple of colleagues standing in front of what I assume was the vehicle/gun he was using, but really interested to find out more - he was a good man

Yes! that is him, thanks - 1-12-45 will be when he left the army- what are the bits under his name? also re you previous post what does CMP stand for thank you for all your help
