    Hi all, I’m Steve. I’ve recently joined as I’m researching the Malaya/Singapore campaign, specifically the story of my great-grandfather, Kenneth Lukehurst, who was a Royal Marine aboard HMS Prince of Wales.

    He survived the sinking and was later involved in the fighting in Singapore before escaping the Japanese advance. I’ve managed to uncover quite a bit about his service, but exactly how he escaped and reached safety is still a mystery.

    I’m hoping to share what I’ve found so far and hopefully pick the brains of some of the knowledgeable people on here.
