    Hi Simon - No 2 BD Company worked in London south of the river. Though there are some war diaries at the Archives, there are gaps and some diaries are by Section number rather than company which makes it a little more complicated.
    It would really help when you get his service records as it means you can focus on particular dates and places.
    Here's an example of a file at the archives -
    WO 166/3994 -ROYAL ENGINEERS: BOMB DISPOSAL COMPANIES: 2 Bomb Disposal Company (BD). 1940 Sept.- 1941 Sept.
    No 2 were based at Balham early on and at the end of the war were based around Sheen (Richmond Park).

    Chris, i am uploaded his recolections, he penned about 70 pages, in "Veteran Accounts", feel free to take a look.... confirms him working in London druring the Blitz, with 2 BD....

    from his memoirs, he did work with No2, in London in the early stages of the war, this was just as 1 and 2 were set -up, have a read in "Veteran Accounts" for the story...
