This is how mine looks compared to yours:

I do not have a Higgston and there is nothing on the CWGC or Australian Roll of Honour.

There are (3) "Kingston" however they are not listed with 59sqn.

Kennerley Birch Kingston 400386 RAAF 85 Sqn
Patrick Noel Kingston 414495 207 Sqn RAF
Roy Albert Kingston 420817 166 Sqn RAF

I also have (4) that are not on your list.

XXX APITZ, KENNETH JOHN NIELSEN Flight Sergeant 422370

BAIN, DONALD HUNTER Flying Officer 404638

XXX COOPER, NORMAN ATHOL Flight Sergeant 421978

DONAGHY, PATRICK JOSEPH Flight Sergeant 6501

XXX HEGGATON, KNOX WILLIAM Flight Sergeant 402924

    HOSKINS, JOHN RICHARD Sergeant 403587

    JONES, WINSTON TREVOR Sergeant 402999

KERMODE, KENNETH WILLIAM Flight Sergeant 402363

LAUDER, KEITH JOHN COLLINGE Sergeant 402510

XXX McLAY, ALAN JAMES Pilot Officer 421025

RICHARDS, DOUGLAS JOHN Flying Officer 403624

    RUTHERFORD, DOUGLAS ROBERT Sergeant 404203

    SCOULLER, CHANDOS Flight Sergeant 402674

    WHITE, NATHANIEL Sergeant 401355

Sgt KW Higgston – RAAF ????????????

Also Rytherton should be Rutherford (Typo)

    Cheers

    Geoff

thanks mate for the reply. Perhaps Higgston was another mistake on the honour roll? maybe he was RCAF, I will look into it, thanks, I'll keep you updated. In the thread in the Air War section too, I've added a post which makes account of how McClay died when RAF Coastal Command Liberator BZ724 crashed.

    Thanks

    Lorenzo.

Using Geoff's Search engine I looked for 11/05/1942 names beginning with H.
    1 result.
    HEGGATON
    See here>> http://www.cwgc.org/search/casualty_details.aspx?casualty=1799870

EDIT. I see he is already on spidge's list.
I imagine that is the "Higgston" you're looking for.

Thanks for that, you sorted that little mystery out nicely! Appreciated.
