Greetings to you all! I am new here and have made my way to this forum whilst I undertake some research on RAF Squadron 59. I am currently trying to compile an honour roll with particular (but obviously not exclusive) attention to the RAAF personnel. My grandfather (FLT/LT HR Longmuir) was one of the Australians who flew with 59. I would love to here from anyone who is associated with the RAAF and Coastal Command during WW2, especially Sq 59. Thanks for your time, Kind regards, Lorenzo.
Welcome and enjoy !!!! Spidge will be along and be of immense assistance to you. He has done a lot of research on RAAF.
Welcome to the forum. Using geoff's search engine I found 254 dead from 59 sqn. Click here. Geoff's 1939-47 Search Engine In unit text put "59" In regiment/corps use the drop down menu to find "royal air force".
Welcome to the forum. You will find several members extremely helpful with regards to Coastal Command issues. Good luck on your quest for knowledge. Tom
Thanks heaps to all for the warm welcome and for all the help! I'm sure I will enjoy my stay here and I will certainly keep you all up to date with how my research is going. Thankyou Owen for the search engine link too. Kind regards Lorenzo.
