Depends: real interested in 20th century (favorite leader of the 20th century was Marshall Tito of Yugoslavia) but also interested in the War of Northern Aggression (known as the so called American "Civil War") - favorite leader from that war was either Patrick Cleburne or Robert E Lee. My ancestors were Southerners but some fought for the Union though (southeastern Kentucky). Its a historical joke (and truth) that the Southern state of Kentucky joined the Confederacy AFTER the war (they were strongly pro-Union but were treated so bad by the Northern Army that they instead voted for the Democractic Party right after the war instead of radical Republicans and wanted to make it a rule that only Confederate veterans could become govenor).
