[IMG]Hello there. My name's Justin Sheedy, I'm an author, I've just had my latest book published as an Ebook and have been referred here to World War 2 Talk by a current user of this excellent forum. The book is entitled "Nor the Years Condemn". It's an historical fiction based on the stunning true story of the young men of the Empire Air Training Scheme, WW2. The book is a portrait of the experience from an Australian perspective and tells the story of how the best & brightest of a generation, having chosen one of the fastest ways to die of the War, contributed so much towards winning it.

With their staggering 1-in-3 chance of survival, "Nor the Years Condemn" is a story of shining young men destined never to become old, and of those who do, the survivors 'condemned by the years' and to their memory of friends who remain forever young - hence the title. These young men, out of simple necessity for the job at hand, really were the most intelligent, the best sportsmen, and sometimes outrageously funny young souls, the loss of so many of them rendering my story so heart-rending for the reader.

The product of many years' research and WW2 pilot & aircrew veteran interviews, the book features (in full in-the-cockpit flying detail) the following iconic aircraft: Tiger Moth, Wirraway (Harvard), Spitfires II, LFVb and IX, Typhoon and Tempest. Also featured are the Hurricane, Mosquito, Avro Anson and Lancaster, also the Messerschmitt 109F & 110 and Focke-Wulf.

I'll be fascinated for thoughts on "Nor the Years Condemn" from all WW2 Talk members. Please do have a look at the book at my Blog which includes extensive reading samples. It's currently available as an Ebook at Smashwords in all ebook formats including PDF for PC viewing & printing for those who don't yet own an ereader. (Smashwords also features a Free 80+ page reading sample in most formats). For full online availability details please click here. The book will also soon be available as a Print-on-Demand hard-copy book at Amazon.

Once again, I'm highly glad to be a new member of WW2 Talk and look forward to hearing from you all.

    Yours sincerely

Justin has already started the sequel which is well undersay. Hes taken a character Mick O'Regan from his first book and based it round him. It looks like its going to be equally good. Heres a small excerpt from his blog page of the new book:

PS Am trying to get him to make Book 3 about Bomber Command so maybe this Wellington Crew could be the basis for that...
