Hello all, As I have been researching my family history in recent years I have followed men and women in my family tree who served in the Civil War, Spanish-American War, The Great War and finally now I arrive at World War II. My areas of interest are learning more about the service of; grandfather Harold Horn - seven years overseas with Canadian Postal Corps, enlisted as Lance Corporal in 1939, demobbed as Lieutenant in 1946, great-uncle Sydney Horn - career navy with Royal Navy beginning in The Great War, Lieutenant Commander - stone frigates and escort carrier in the Battle of the Atlantic, and at D-Day during WW II, second cousin Leslie Moore - Sergeant with South Saskatchewan Regiment, busted down to Private before D-Day, captured at Verrieres Ridge, escaped, and last but not least two aunts who served in the Canadian Women's Army Corps Pipe Band, one Canadian - Mona (Michie) Horn, one American - Bernice (Magness) Horn. Looking forward to learning more and hopefully making an occasional useful contribution. Steve H.
