Hi everyone, I have been viewing the forums as a guest for a few weeks and finally decided to join this evening as I am sure I will love it here.

I am a 26 year old female who has a deep interest in anything about WW2. I am currently collecting books on the subject, particular favourites of mine being the diary type books such as Our Hidden Lives, Our Longest Days, the Nella Last wartime diaries etc. I also thoroughly enjoy the Forgotten Voices series and am collecting all of those books and any others written in a similar format.
I just have a particular fascination for the era of WW2 too, I find the times of the 1930's and 1940's very interesting - even though some people who lived through it may wonder why! :p

I do not have much in the way of adding much in the way of knowledge or information about the WW2, as I am currently just learning as much as I can about it and getting to know what life was like back then, so I hope that I can add to the forum in other ways. I am going to enjoy scouring the forums and reading all your stories.

I look forward to chatting with you all :)

Welcome, I am sure that you will find plenty here to interest you. As a suggestion what relations of yours served? It may be particularly interesting if you can trace the service of, say, your grandparents. You may well have discovered that it is possible to get hold of ancestor's service records which is a great place to start.

Welcome Bellamabel. Hope you enjoy it here.

With regard to your statement, " I just have a particular fascination for the era of WW2 too", I think you will find that almost everyone here suffers from the same affliction. Happily, there is no cure.
