Hi all. Just a short introduction. My name is Gareth and I live in north Wales. I've recently been doing some family history research and have joined a couple of forums that specialise in military history to see if I can find out more information. For WW2, I am interested in learning more about what my grandparents did. My maternal grandfather was in the RAF with the mobile signals unit in Normandy in 1944, and my paternal grandfather served on the Russian convoys and in 40 Commando in Italy. There's quite a bit of info about 40 Commando, but tracking down the specific information about my grandfather's RAF unit appears a bit more tricky. There seem to be a lot of well informed people here, so I'll be spending some time reading what has already been written, and may end up asking some questions. Cheers.
