hello found this site while trying to find out about my fathers time in the army like most of his generation never talked about it joined 1st battalion KOSB on 11/2/39 went to france with BEF got home on 6/6/40 on 7/6/40 was in RAC shipped out to india on 27/5/42 can only find 116th regiment RAC but found out this was made up from unit of Gordon Highlanders who shipped out to india on same date the only time he said something we were watching on tv and i am talking 50 years ago i am 69 was about 14th army at Rangoon he just said were 3 days there and they had all buggered off sorry if this is in wrong place
