Hi, I am new to this forum:unsure: so I hope you can help me with my question:sign_help:
I am looking for any information about Hawtins Ltd of Blackpool:ukflag[1]:,I understand that the factory was turned over from the amusement trade to war work in ww2, anyone know if this is true, and what they made? or any other information about Hawtins in wartime.

    Regards :)

With to outset of war many companies up and down the country were switched from their normal occupations to providing material for the war-economy. Literally all non-essential or luxery items had their production ceased. Such things as carpet manufacture, toy making etc. I do not know about the company you mention but the local history society may be able to help or a piece in the local newspaper may get someone who worked there to recall what work they were switched to.
