For reference Harrogate Crematourium Roll of Honour

It is in the little building attched to the wall listing all service members who opted for cremation instead of burial.

Below the plaque was the wreath

    Mike,

Thank you for the post and photographs.

Is this part of a CWGC cemetery?

    It looks immaculately kept regardless.

    Regards
    Tom

You are correct it is part of the CWGC Cemetery it faces up the main thoroughfare past the stone of sacrifice to the cross, buried in nice symetrical rows is a cross section of the young men from all parts of our empire ( Commonwealth).

This cemetry was something of a surprise to me when I discovered it. There are a considerable number of graves including, as i remember, one or two Russians and a German.

I was told there had been a military hospital in Harrogate and many of those buried here had died in hospital.

    Well worth a visit!
