It took me quite a few seconds to work out the reference to Lizzie going down to Clintons as meaning that on my 100th birthday I would receive a card from HM The Queen.

Just for the record, my wife and I have already received a greeting card from HM on the occasion of our Golden Wedding in 1999.

She who must be obeyed has just reminded me it was our 60th Wedding Anniverary that was the correct occasion in 2009 and so I went to the relevant website to check it out:

dear ron ,
that is some achievement and you and the wife must be rightly proud . I rang buck palace and asked where my card was , the lady replied that I wasnt eligable as id only been married for 20 yrs I then replied yes but it feels like 60.
