Hi there! I am a 24 year old norwegian documentary movie maker. At the moment I am making a documentary for norwegian television about the brave men of Kompani Linge who used sabotage to save a small community from RAF-bombing. The town is called Løkken Verk and was based around cupper and sulfus mines from wich the germans gained over 25% of this material used for making explosives. I am looking for information about SOE, Kompani Linge and especially Lt. Peter Deinboll. Also, I`m looking for the RAF "special target list". This is a list of industrial targets in nazi occupied germany wich were important to destroy for the allies. Does anyone know something about this, or perhaps know where i should look? Please contact me or simply answer this thread. If you would like to know more about my project, please give me a hint, and I will try to tell you all about it despite my lack of english grammar... Thanks!
I should specify that "Kompani Linge" was formally known as the Norwegian Independent Company No 1. Also looking for any information about the german sulful mines in Sicilia....
Welcome Falk, your quests are a little outside my knowledge base, but I wish you luck in your search all the same.
Hey Falk! Nice to meet you. Hope you stick around the forums for a long time to come so you can impart the info you find. Just a thought, do you know if Kompani Linge were taken in by ship? And if so, which ship was it? The crew members might be able to help if they were taken in. Kitty
I`m looking for the RAF "special target list". I have never heard of a special target list. The Bombing committe was responsible for deciding which targets could be bomb, but they had members from all the relevant ministries and the various intelligence services.
