    Buried at Old Soutgate Cemetery along with the rest of his family who were killed in a probable V1 attack on Carpenters Gardens, Southgate, London

    Recent research has shown that Stoker 1st Class Pretlove is buried at this location. The Commission is actively working to erect a headstone on his grave, and his previous commemoration on the Chatham Naval Memorial will be removed in due course when the panels are replaced during regular maintenance work.
