Would anyone be able to tell me if Grant ARV1's were used in North Africa, and in particular by 7th Armoured Division?
According to Baxter's Breakdown, only a few Grant ARVs were produced (late 1942-ish) and largely used in a training role in the UK (if the accompanying photo is anything to go by). They would have been of greater value as gun tanks out in the desert. The first use of production ARVs - Churchill ARV Mk1 - was in Tunisia.
