Small fry compared to you guys, but I have 89% Google, 9% Bing, 2% Others. I have a significant Australian following I notice.

    Over a year:
    Main Google 56%, Bing 4.9% Yahoo (!) 4.1%

    Chrome 27%, IE 25%, Safari 22%, Firefox 19%

Chrome's really raced up the charts, particularly if I look at the last month it's on more like 35.
Personally, I consider it a bit like a sodding virus in the demands it makes. 4 Gig of ram to run properly... 4 gig! The irony of some Chromebooks having less than 4GB is not lost on me.

Rather looking forward to see what the next MS browser will be like.
If it isn't a stripped down racing snake of a thing I shall be very disappointed.

I don't think its fixed yet chums. Sorry mods! Do appreciate what you are doing.

I just tested searching for X9018 Fairey Albacore F5273 and varients. Nada coming up on Google, and its been there a while.

I entered a loss record at LostAircraft.
It is NOT getting indexed there either. So something new and cruel from Google me thinks.

the term you searched for - as far as I can tell - has only been on the forum since late yesterday evening...

So it is indexing thread titles and not contents?

    Stop it, mate.
Google does what it does, as it wants to do it.

Some things get indexed in detail very quickly, some things less so.

Ours not to understand it's curious ways, but I can now say with some confidence that we're finally getting indexed almost as well as pre changing the software a few years back.
The only reason I'm not saying as well or better is because I haven't really been tracking it properly.
If it's picking up threads within 24hrs or less as it seems to be; bloody marvellous!

Fred, you seem to be a bit impatient. Do not panic. Google visits frequently, and it takes time to built an index of the entire site.

A little trust goes a long way.

Google's indexing is certainly coming up trumps for ww2talk now.
There are new threads hitting the top of the first page on Google after just a few hours. Nice :)
