Could you add the Co-ords or attach a kmz file , please. Sorry. Not sure how to write the degrees symbol on my laptop, so here's a screen shot, hope you can read it. Mike
When you add placemark to GoogleEarth. Copy & Paste the co-ords. 36°37'25.99"N 9°44'38.76"E Then to make a kmz file, right click the place mark & 'Save As..' to Documents. Upload that file to post on forum & then it's a direct link to GoogleEarth when clicked. see atttched file
If anyone needs any others; I have these other locations (see attached) and just recently aquired some of the original northern Tunisia maps. They're a little specialized but you never know if they might be what you are after. I've already got quite a few on the tunisia section of my google maps, but the '42/'43 section is being re-done to be on a monthly basis in order to increase its accuracy as fit in with the italian campaign section. I'll have finished editing them in a few months. As a side note there is now an add on which gives you lat and long of your mouse pointer in google maps, so no clicking is involved.
Thanks for the tips folks. I will give them a try. If I find more interesting locations, where best to post them, other than start a new thread? Mike
If it's Tunisia related, keep posting them here - it's all interesting stuff. Thanks Paul. Will do. Bir Sidi Medienne N 36° 19' 24'' E 8° 48' 48'' Medjez el Bab 36°39'3.29"N 9°36'38.22"E Mike
Would be good if you could add them as attachments - Owen has done a how to above and there is a tutorial on here somewhere.
Ah yes, here's the tutorial: http://www.ww2talk.com/forum/network-information/15885-google-earth-files.html
Hi, can't read your attached file, can you help? Looks a bit like a list of names/grids - do you have a clearer version?

Interesting development, the well known Bridge at Bordj Toum mentioned in so many books (due to the fate of CCB there)... isn't in Bordj Toum. The actual bridge is unmarked on allied maps but may be found at the coordinates 36.74480, 9.70389 What this means is that the bridge doesn't actually seperate the west Madjerda valley from the east (i.e. it isn't on the Majderda river) it runs perpendicular to it.
