    Thanks spidge and everyone else for your nice comments. If anyone wants me to email them high res copies of any photo(s), just ask. I think some important Australian visitors were at El Alamein recently. The guide at the German memorial showed me some fresh flowers commenting that "the Australian General" had left them last week. If you look on Google News for stories about Australia and El Alamein http://news.google.com/news?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&q=australian%20general%20el%20alamein&sa=N&tab=wn there are a few stories coming back.
