    Hello,
I found this ID disk which belonged to a soldier wounded on 29th August 1944 in Normandy. Do you know if is it possible to find more informations about him ? E. Crook.
Do you know what "O D" means?
    Thank you in advance,
    best regards,
    G.

3389043 E Crook, 2 Bn Gloucestershire Regt, wounded 29.8.44 North West Europe. E for Eric.

Originally with East Lancashire Regt, lived in Darwen, Lancashire.

As I understand it the initials normally represent the religion i.e. CE Church of England. In this case I am not sure, some say blood group, O? Blood group not on my father's.
