    I thought it would be a good idea to draw the forum's attention to yesterday's news that the last surviving ww2 pilot of the RAF first jet engined fighter was re-united with the machine that he flew sixty years ago.

    i know that lineys could be very careful about carrying out servicing but that takes the biscuit!!!!! :D :D

    Pretty sure it was on the beeb, you might find a reference to the story on their site.

    I checked the BBC news site and therw was nothing there no mention of the story or any pictures.
