    Excellent work, Sky News.
    Very fact check.
    Totally journalist.

(SAS in this context being, of course, the Scandinavian airline. Not... that other thing.)

So the Sky News 'fact checker' taps in "SAS" on their iPhone and it comes up with 'Special Air Service' ...? Almost funny ...! Let's hope they don't tap in "www" as they might say WW3 has begun!

The Fishwife's School's village has chosen to mark VE Day with a 'WW2 song' that the village, school, local choir etc. will learn and perform.
    The song chosen:
It's a long way to Tipperary.
    ...
    ...
    I mean.
    I just.
    I can't.

Apparently 'Too late to change' in response to her incredulity.

    ...

    Deary me.

A song my grandmother used to sing, she had learned it during the British occupation in Goslar
I think I was 14 or so when I realized it was NOT the British national anthem:whistle:

Seemingly Marlene Dietrich did not record a version of Lili Marlene until later in 1944; still an above average opener, but would argue better with Lale Andersen ....
