A mate has become intrigued by one Sigismund Blaschkowski's grave at Gosport Anns Hill Cemetery.

    He is on Volksbund:

    & CWGC:

Along with a tad more here:

I know German casualties can be hard to pin down further (one of very few I've ever got even a plain result from Volksbund with), but is there any way to find a bit more? Unit, place of capture/first treatment etc.?

Theorising he's a DDay casualty, and also now quite interested in how enemy casualties were processed.
Only recently looking at a chap on Twatter's pics of Allied blokes being brought back at Stokes Bay. Presumably Sigismund came over via a similar route.

Anyway, cheers in advance from myself & matey if anyone can help with more.
