As many parts as a 1/35th kit... but in 1/72nd... I'm a bit scared of them.

Working on my Italeri 1/72nd Valentine.
Added bedrolls, tarps and bail-out bags using Milliput and a stretched sprue aerial. Yes, I know it's a bit thick.
I'd chopped of the conical aerial-base from the turret , as I hope the sprue would replace it but hasn't quite worked.
Please feel free to pick holes, adds to the learning process.

That's not an aerial...it's a periscope!!! :wow: If you ask nicely (or threaten me with a screwdriver) I'll give yer some brass wire....

    Just wondering about rust.
I know AFVs were out in all weathers but did they actually last long enough to gather the amount of rust depicted by some modellers?

    Answer = NO

Anyway, from what I've seen, even with a circa 20 year break (you old git!) from modelling, you've not lost your touch....to be honest, you weren't really into AFV modelling so I'm even more impressed by what you're doing with them now. Fancy a job at Z-panzer?[IMG]

Ataleri 1/72 ISU-122. Experment this time was the primer showing through the worn pate. So its only had one horrid thrown on coat of green and plenty of weathering. Did my normal trick of rubbing in the water colour pencil into the paint to give it thin metalic impression, and lots of washes on the undercarrige. A little bit of pastels. Very pleased with the primer though I think the camara has lost the difference between muck and the red led primer that you can see in the rela item and the tracks too, Ive spent more time on. Im thrilled. A lot of of the tools are missing too, hopefully it looks a bit 'lived in'.

Same tracks as Owen JS2 which are the worst bit, apart from that went together nice.

I agree with Adam, your best yet, Kev.
    Now here's my latest offerings.
Was going to do them in Poland markings but did 1940 instead.

    Cool.
Convincing Panzer Grey has to be one of the hardest colours to get looking right, and the rust on the front guards is very nice.
You're really getting into the swing again aren't you.
Time to treat yourself to a really decent starting kit?

    It's not RUST it's mud/dung.
That's what my 6 year old said, it looks rusty.
I said they'd driven through a midden in a French farm.
So we then had a long list of animal poo they'd driven through.

    Italerai 1/72nd Sdfkz 232 minus bedstead aerial, so it's 231 & panzer I ausf B.
All in Humbrol enamels with black wash of artist's acrylic, then dry-brushed with panzer grey mixed with white.

Nice effort from you both; the Panzer grey looked good Owen.

I have just finished three Armourfast Shermans, just need to add some decals. Will do some photos when complete.
