German POWs in the United States was broadcast again last night. They had to be some of the happiest luckiest POWs in the war. They were feed what US troops got, paid to work on farms, showers anytime of day or night, clean and painted barracks, clean clothes, classes Sundays off. It said actually the only people they had to fear most were radical Nazis who would kill any other German POW who appeared to lose his focus on Hitler and the Nazis goals. They would hang them and leave suicide notes but everyone knew they had been killed by some Nazis radicals in the camp. I believe there were three German POWs interviewed who relocated to the USA as soon as they could after the war.
