    Hi All,

I've searched high and low for some information on a Tiger 1/Flack-18 shell I own that is stamped with the ordnance code "ljy". Searching online and here doesn't show this code in any record and I'm wondering if anyone here is familiar with it?

The only reference I have is from an auction in Germany where a similar steel-cased 88 shell (mine is brass) was sold with accompanying information "German marking and origin, Stahl, 3 letter code LJY". From some research the only company with a similar name was Vereinigte Stahlwerke AG which was the United Steelworks, again searching for them in the ordnance codes reveals nothing either.

Below is an image of my shell for reference.

    Thanks!
