    Hello everybody,
I am looking for information (records, photos, maps, books, websites...) about all the German Divisions who fought on Monte Camino, Monte la Defensa, Monte la Remetanea, Monte Maggiore, Garigliano river (Area: town of Rocca d'Evandro, few km south of Montecassino, between the Bernhardt Line or Winter Line and the Gustav Line) during the WW 2 (1943-44).
    Best regards

The US army center for military history website may be of help to you: In particular there is a bit about the 5th army at the winter line with maps and a section on the Monte Maggiore area and the Mignano Corridor.

Being from the american perspective it talks a bit about the german forces in the area so doesn't go into great detail; but you might find its illustrations useful; CMH seems to be where most of the frequently encountred maps of the italy campaign come from on the net.

I have the book you mentioned ("The Winter Line", first edition 1945) and many other British and U.S. sources, but nothing from the German side...

Hi, Mike was talking of going back again this year. Do you know if he has gone etc. I have not heard from him in a couple of months and want to know if he's OK.
    Cheers.
