    the only place you will find them is the official route
    link here Get a copy of military service records give it a good read it is very simple to apply
    Please do not sign up and pay for site on the internet they will not have his service records
    Date of birth and death cert required plus £30
    a long wait at the moment

    Assume you are after his military information - if thats the case then the ONLY place to start is by obtaining his service record which is held by the MOD and the forms you need are here - Request records of deceased service personnel

    The only extra you will need is a copy of his death certificate, are you sure you have the correct DoB ?

  9. Hi yes just applying for a copy of his death certificate, interesting info though as my Dad was born in Ripley Derbyshire ? Just checking his DOB with my brother i think i have had a senior moment!!

  11. Hi yes just getting into this at the moment, just checked the info and yes that is my Dad thanks my brother may have a copy of his death certificate so i can then apply for his war records
